INTERPRO Technology Inc. announces support for ATM Advanced Anti- Skimming Technology.

INTERPRO has launched new enhanced functionality to support Diebold’s Advanced Skimming Detection (ASD) technology and Hyosung Nautilus Anti Skimming CPK+. ATM skimming is approaching a billion dollar business and is happening coast to coast and there seems to be no end in sight. ATM skimming is stealing your ATM card information, not in the transaction processing, but at the ATM. Skimmers are adding devices that are attached to an ATM card reader and records information stored on the magnetic stripe as you transact normal ATM business. The data is then sold to create fraudulent cards to empty the cardholders’ accounts.

With the advent of the new technology that is installed in Diebold and Hyosung ATMs, INTERPRO will receive a “Warning Message” from the ATM. At that instant, INTERPRO will trigger both an alert to the Financial Institution and shut the ATM down until it can be serviced. With the Global Event Maintenance features supplied by INTERPRO, customers will receive emails, pages and/or text messages to alert that an Anti-Skimming device was detected and the system logs will display the alert message in RED. The Software update for TAS bears no charge to you from INTERPRO, however, fees may apply from the ATM vendors to add the Anti-Skimming technology to the Physical ATMs.
