This robust transaction processing system along with QNX, Microsoft Windows, JAVA and Linux addresses all of the vital aspects of transaction switching and processing.

These systems front-end the host systems and can also be configured for stand-alone operations. Their primary functions include, ATM/POS/Kiosk terminal driving, transaction authorization, Host/Gateway interface and national and regional network access. All communications protocols and configurations, including TCP/IP, dial-up, wireless and lease-lines are supported.

All systems support native and emulation modes for a variety of ATM terminals types including Diebold 910/911/912, NCR Native, NCR Edge, NCR Advance, Wicor Nixdorf and Fujitsu 912.  All handle normal and enhanced transaction functions and secondary languages.   The systems also support a comprehensive reporting package.

Settlement monitors identify last settlement date, the current cash position, and standard and non-standard replenishment values. The system's transaction file contains all transactions processed and all information is available immediately for transaction lookup. Authorization methods include positive, warm, negative and host. Flexible withdrawal limits can be created by using various combinations.

The heartbeat of the Transaction Authorizer Switch (TAS) (Copyright 1999, 1997 INTERPRRO Technology, Inc.) System is QNX which is a POSIX compliant operating system with microkernel/message-passing architecture. It has a strong, 20-year track record in mission-critical applications such as nuclear power plant control and on-line credit card authorization. It offers all the expected facilities and functionality of a typical Unix system but with determinism and responsiveness not available in operating systems optimized for desktop/server applications.

TAS uses the standard aspects of QNX to advantage. The operational user interface is implemented by running Apache, to serve HTML/Java to desktop computers.
